Russian Presidential Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and Qatar's Ambassador to Moscow, Ahmed bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani, emphasized the urgent need to end armed confrontations in the Middle East during a meeting. This was stated in a press release by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“During the discussion, key issues related to the further development of traditionally friendly Russian-Qatari relations were addressed, including expanding cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. There was also an exchange of views on the Middle Eastern agenda, with a focus on the urgent need for the cessation of armed confrontations in the Gaza Strip and the Israel-Lebanon border area, as well as the situation in Yemen and the Persian Gulf region,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
The meeting was initiated by the Qatari side.
