Russia has terminated cooperation with NATO on civil and military lines. Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko has announced it in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"NATO has abandoned itself a positive agenda in relations with Russia. It does not exist. And so far there are no signs that NATO knows how to get out of this stalemate", the agency quotes the diplomat, in particular.
According to Grushko, the decision of the North Atlantic Alliance to stop normal working contacts along the military line is nonsense, especially concerning the security in Europe largely depends on relations between Russia and NATO.
Meanwhile, Grushko recalled that NATO's military spending exceeded one trillion dollars last year. This is 22 times more than the similar expenses of Russia.
