The International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" kicked off in Kazan.
A total of 15 thousand people will participate in the work and provision of the forum events.
"Some organizers started preparing for the event a month and a half in advance. The most active work starts a week and a half before the opening", one of the volunteers at the forum told TASS reporter, adding that this year a lot of visitors are expected.
The first sections have already started at 8 am and there will be about 200 events within the forum. Work of the main halls starts at 9 am. Before the beginning of the sections many visitors are heading for the halal exposition Russia Halal Expo and the international halal products fair Russia Halal Market, where it will be possible to buy halal products from Russian and foreign producers.
The 14th International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2023" will take place on May 18-20 at the Kazan Expo IEC. It is expected that the events of the forum will be attended by more than 7 thousand people from 85 countries and 84 regions of Russia.
