The ceremony of handing over a batch of humanitarian aid provided by Russia to the Kyrgyz armed forces was held on Friday in Bishkek, the Kyrgyz ministry of defense reported.
"The ceremony was attended by Kyrgyz defense minister Baktybek Bekbolotov, chairman of the Republican Council of veterans Myrzakan Subanov and Igor Dovbnya, military attache for defense issues at the Russian embassy in the republic," the report said.
According to the ministry, Russia donated physiotherapeutic equipment and "other additional medical equipment, which will help quickly and accurately" to provide medical care to soldiers and veterans of the armed forces of Kyrgyzstan.
The cost of the humanitarian cargo was not specified.
The ministry noted that the aid was provided "as part of military and military-technical cooperation" between the two countries by decision of Russian defense minister Sergei Shoigu.
