On the initiative of the Libyan side, the Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and African countries, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov had a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of Libya Aguila Saleh.
During the conversation, according to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the latest development of the military-political situation in and around Libya.
"The Russian side reaffirmed its position in support of an inclusive inter-Libyan dialogue, which would lead to the creation of effective government bodies in Libya, capable of ensuring the unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty of this country, which is traditionally friendly to us," the message reads.
