A plane with humanitarian cargo from Uzbekistan has arrived in Moscow. According to the Secretariat of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government Alexey Overchuk, the cargo includes 5 million medical masks.
The plane was met in Sheremetyevo by representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
Commenting on the initiative of Tashkent, Overchuk noted that this is an example of mutual assistance.
"We know that the people of Uzbekistan themselves suffer from the coronavirus infection. There are both infected and deceased in the country. But despite this, Uzbekistan decided to share the most necessary things with Russia, demonstrating mutual assistance, examples of which are filled with our common history, " he stressed.
In Russia, according to the latest data, about 43 thousand cases of coronavirus infection were detected, 389 people died.
