The meeting of the Russian-Sudan Intergovernmental Commission, which was to be held in Khartoum on March 10-12, has been postponed indefinitely. The reason, as Onur Ahmad Onur, the Charge d'affaires of Sudan in Moscow, told RIA Novosti, is concerns about the spread of the coronavirus.
"The meeting of the IGC has been postponed, a new date will be determined at the request of the Russian side. The reason was concerns about the spread of the coronavirus, " the Agency quoted the diplomat as saying.
According to him, the Sudanese side has completed all preparations for the Commission round and expects the IGC to be held in April or May.
So far, no cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Sudan, the diplomat said.
