Russia is working to create a unified road and rail network with Central Asian countries, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said on Thursday.
"We are synchronizing all our plans with Kazakhstan. We fully synchronize the expansion of roads with checkpoints. We are doing a lot of work with our colleagues from Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, where a task of linking all Central Asia into one network of both rail and road is being discussed," he said at the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2023".
The 14th International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum-2023" is taking place on May 18-20 in Kazan Expo. More than 7 thousand people from 85 countries and 84 regions of the Russian Federation are expected to participate in the events of the forum. It is planned to sign at least 100 agreements.
