Russia is a dependable trade and investment partner for Pakistan, offering opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation, Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert Khorev said during a briefing on the situation in Ukraine.
“The swift resolution of the conflict through negotiations would benefit not only Russia and Ukraine but also the countries of the Global South, including Pakistan,” he said. “Russia is a reliable trade and investment partner that provides opportunities for equitable, mutually beneficial cooperation with Pakistan.”
The diplomat also emphasized that “lifting the illegal Western sanctions on the transport of Russian goods would significantly strengthen Pakistan's energy and food security.”
