Russian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Sergey Vakunov during his meeting with Deputy Head of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry Almaz Imangaziev emphasized the need for interdepartmental consultations to address migration issues between Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Federation
“Ambassador Vakunov highlighted that resolving migration issues requires enhanced interdepartmental cooperation, involving the competent law enforcement agencies of both countries,” a representative from the Russian embassy informed TASS, discussing the meeting focused on migrant concerns.
During the meeting on July 29, Vakunov and Imangaziev discussed several migration-related issues, including the growing number of Kyrgyz citizens being denied entry into Russia.
“Deputy Minister Imangaziev conveyed the Kyrgyz side's concern over the increasing instances of Kyrgyz citizens being denied entry into Russia and the lengthy inspection procedures at Russian international airports. He also acknowledged the measures taken by Russia to ensure national security,” stated the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry.
