Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov received Qadri Jamil, a leader of the Syrian Popular Front for Change and Liberation opposition coalition and head of the Syrian opposition’s Moscow platform at the latter's request.
The parties discussed the political settlement in Syria, including formation and launching of the Constitutional Committee.
At the same time, the parties emphasized the need to preserve the unity, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the SAR.
