On Tuesday, Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and African countries and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed the Middle East settlement with Turkish Foreign Ministry Director General for the Middle East and North Africa Can Dizdar, with a focus on the situation in Syria and Libya.
"During the conversation, also attended by Turkish Ambassador to Moscow Mehmet Samsar, the two sides exchanged views on regional issues with a focus on the situation in Syria, Libya, as well as the Middle East settlement. Besides, the need of Russian-Turkish coordination was stated in the interests of the soonest achievement of a mutually acceptable solution of conflicts and sustainable stabilization in the Middle East and North Africa," the Russian foreign ministry said.
According to the ministry, on the same day, Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Minister for the Syrian settlement, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Kinshchak and Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Minister for the Middle East settlement Vladimir Safronkov held extensive consultations with Dizdar in the Russian diplomatic mission.
