The next meeting of foreign ministers within the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum is scheduled for 2025, as announced by Mikhail Bogdanov, Russian Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister, during the IV International Forum “Russia – Middle East.”
“Between September and December, we held the seventh ministerial session of the Russia-GCC Strategic Dialogue. In 2025, we plan to host another ministerial session of the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum at the foreign ministers’ level,” Bogdanov stated.
He emphasized that Russia remains committed to cultivating its ties and sustaining regular political engagement with its Arab partners. He also noted the importance of discussing Middle Eastern affairs in both regional and global contexts.
“We welcome the strengthening of Arab organizations such as the of Arab League and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), as they hold potential for making political decisions that affect not only regional but also international stability. Russia actively engages with these regional bodies,” Bogdanov added.
In September, Riyadh hosted three ministerial meetings, including the Russia-GCC Strategic Dialogue session, attended by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
