Russian Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Qatar's Ambassador to Moscow Ahmed bin Nasser bin Jassim Al-Thani held talks on Middle East issues, with a particular focus on the escalating Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
The Russian Foreign Ministry's statement on the meeting, published on its website, highlighted that the conversation included an exchange of views on topical Middle East issues, with a significant emphasis on the unprecedented escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Additionally, the sides discussed "key issues of further strengthening of traditionally friendly Russian-Qatari relations, including deepening of political dialogue and building up mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, and humanitarian areas."
The meeting was convened upon the request of the Qatari ambassador.
