Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and African countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed aid to the Arab republic after the earthquake at a meeting with a delegation from Syria. The Russian foreign ministry said this in a statement released on Monday.
"During the conversation there was an in-depth exchange of views on the development of the situation in and around Syria. Special attention was paid to the tasks of a comprehensive settlement in the Syrian Arab Republic, as well as the reconstruction of the country after the devastating earthquake of February 6," the ministry said.
The Syrian delegation included Mujib al-Dandan, member of the Syrian People's Assembly, Barwin Ibrahim, general-secretary of the Syrian National Youth Party for Creation and Change, and Sheikh Nawaf al-Mulhim, chairman of the Syrian People's Party.
