The Department of Information and Press of the Russian Foreign Ministry published a comment on the terrorist attack on a military camp in Mali.
On March 19, as a result of an attack by militants on the camp of the armed forces of Mali near Tarkin in the Gao region, 29 Malian soldiers were killed and 5 were injured.
"We strongly condemn the latest crime of terrorist forces aimed at destabilizing the situation in Mali and undermining the efforts of the country's leadership to implement the Algiers peace agreement of 2015. The continuing difficult security situation in Mali dictates the need to continue effective international support for the stabilization steps of the Malian government", the message reads, in particular.
In addition, the Russian side once again confirmed its support for the leadership and people of Mali in the fight against the terrorist threat.
