Russian diplomats and the Qatari authorities are making every effort to ensure that the Russians stranded there are able to fly home as early as possible, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told reporters.
"We are working to unblock the situation with the Russians in Qatar. Russian agencies and Qatari authorities are making every effort to ensure that Russians can fly to Russia," she said, in particular.
It is not specified how many Russians are currently unable to fly from Qatar.
Since March 31, Russia has reduced the number of charters for the evacuation of Russians from abroad, and also set restrictions on the number of arriving passengers. Now planes with evacuated Russians will only fly to Sheremetyevo, no more than 500 people per day, and to airports in other regions – no more than 200 people per day.
