Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov received a member of the Progressive Socialist Party of Lebanon Halim Bu Fakhreddin.
During the talks, the parties exchanged views on the development of the situation in Lebanon. The Russian side reaffirmed its principled policy in support of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and stability of the Lebanese Republic and the inadmissibility of external interference in its internal affairs.
At the same time, the diplomats stated the priority of the task of consolidating efforts to effectively counter terrorist threats in the Middle East region in general.
