Russian peacekeepers promptly took measures to de-escalate the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, where a shooting happened on Tuesday near the village of Tegh, Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told a briefing on Wednesday.
"On April 11, there was an armed incident at the line of contact on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border near the Tegh settlement. Unfortunately, according to the available information there were casualties," the diplomat noted. - "Representatives of the armed forces and the Border Guard Service of the Russian FSB who were in the area immediately entered into contact with responsible officials in Armenia and Azerbaijan and took de-escalation measures."
