Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh provided security for convoys of Azerbaijani soldiers traveling from Shusha to the Fizuli district of Azerbaijan, Igor Konashenkov, the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, told a briefing on Thursday.

"On November 19, patrols of Russian peacekeeping forces ensured safe movement of five cars with servicemen of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces from Shusha settlement to Fizuli district of the Republic of Azerbaijan", Konashenkov said.

He stressed that a "ceasefire regime is observed throughout the contact line".

Under the protection of Russian peacekeepers, refugees return to their homes. "The safe return of 1,199 refugees, who had previously left their homes in Nagorno-Karabakh because of hostilities, is ensured within 24 hours from Armenian territory to Nagorno-Karabakh. Since November 14, more than 3,000 Nagorno-Karabakh residents have returned to their former homes with the help of Russian peacekeepers," Konashenkov said.

The bodies of soldiers killed in the conflict are also being exchanged.

Russian military transport aircraft IL-76 and An-124 made 22 flights in one day, delivering personnel, equipment and over 40 vehicles and special equipment of the peacekeeping contingent. Heavy-duty trucks, engineering equipment, as well as material and technical support equipment and belongings were delivered to Armenia.
