Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to visit Palestine. As the Palestinian Ambassador to Russia Abdelhafiz Nofal said in an interview for RIA Novosti, the visit should take place on January 23.
"On January 23, in Bethlehem," he said, in particular in response to a question.
It is planned that during the visit, Putin will hold talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. "Both bilateral and many other issues will be discussed".
Palestine, according to Nofal, expects "a more effective role for Russia in the Middle East peace process".
The Kremlin confirmed the Russian President's visit to Bethlehem on January 23.
