Russian servicemen of the Kant base in Kyrgyzstan sent about 100 kilograms of humanitarian aid to the sponsored social institutions on New Year's Eve. This was reported by the press service of the Central Military District (CMD) on Friday.
The Russian military base is patronizing the Altyn Uya family-type orphanage and the Umut rehabilitation center.
"The command of the Russian military base has been approached by the administration of the sponsored social institutions with a request for assistance. Officers of the compound together with the assistant commander for work with religious servicemen organized a collection and formed packages, which included household chemicals and personal hygiene items," the report says.
Military pilots handed the packages to the administration of institutions and congratulated them on the coming New Year.
