Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, held a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the Kazan Kremlin.
"As part of our country's unified foreign policy, Tatarstan actively contributes to strengthening relations with our partner countries and friendly nations. I want to thank you for your support in this endeavor," said Rustam Minnikhanov.
Minnikhanov also highlighted the presence of Tatarstan's representative offices abroad and emphasized the active collaboration with Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
In a separate context, Minnikhanov touched upon his role as the head of the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia-Islamic World," following the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Sergey Lavrov praised the successful KazanForum and expressed his appreciation for the extensive program of the event. "I had the opportunity to review the materials from the forum, and it was a very comprehensive program," commented the minister.
Addressing Minnikhanov, Lavrov acknowledged Tatarstan's leadership in conducting foreign relations. "You are among the leaders in this field, and the crucial aspect is that your work brings positive results not only for the republic but also for the entire country," Lavrov stated.
During the meeting, they also discussed the upcoming meeting of the BRICS Heads of State, which is scheduled to be held in Kazan next year based on the Russian President's Decree.
