Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the Group of strategic vision Russia – Islamic world, is on his visit to New York.
He has already met with the activists of the Association of American Tatars (there are about 3,500 Tatars in the United States).
During the meeting, Minnikhanov noted that his trip would be another step in strengthening and developing ties with Western countries, including the United States.
Today, the head of the Republic will visit the United Nations (UN) and meet with the Secretary-General of the Organization, Antonio Guterres, as well as with Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya.
Minnikhanov will also take part in the presentation of the report "Regions of the Russian Federation: Republic of Tatarstan-sustainable development goals" to be held at the UN headquarters.
