Rustam Minnikhanov Visits Tatar Mosque in Urumqi, China

The Head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, visited the Tatar mosque in Urumqi, China.

 

The mosque, built in 1897 with funds raised by the local Tatar diaspora, is one of the oldest in the city. The building is designed in a traditional style and features four adjacent prayer halls.

 

Rustam Minnikhanov, along with the Mufti of Tatarstan, toured the mosque. Additionally, Kamil Hazrat Samigullin presented the local imam with updated "Kazan Basmasy" Qurans on behalf of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan.
