Saudi authorities do not intend to open mosques in the month of Ramadan

The Saudi authorities are ready to extend restrictions on mass gatherings, including prayers, and during the Holy month of Ramadan, which this year falls between the end of April and the end of May. This was stated by the official representative of the Saudi Ministry of Health, Mohammed Abdel Ali.


"Everyone missed the religious gatherings in the month of Ramadan, but the measures taken will continue until the coronavirus pandemic subsides," RIA Novosti quoted a Saudi official as saying.


According to the latest data, the number of cases of coronavirus infection in Saudi Arabia reached 2605, 38 people died, 551 recovered.
