Schools based on Russian standards to be opened in Tajikistan

Schools that will work according to Russian educational standards will be opened in Tajikistan, Russian First Deputy Minister of Education Dmitry Glushko said.


The ministry specified that the construction of five schools that will work according to Russian educational standards will begin in Tajikistan.


"The project has reached the stage of practical implementation," Glushko, whose words were quoted by the press service, said on the sidelines of a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan.


During the meeting, the main provisions regulating the conditions of creation and functioning of schools in the Republic of Tajikistan were recorded.


Glushko reminded that a joint humanitarian project "Russian teacher abroad" is being implemented and the number of its participants is constantly growing. This school year, 50 Russian teachers are teaching the Russian language and literature, mathematics, chemistry, biology and other subjects in Russian at schools in Tajikistan.


"I believe it is important to develop educational cooperation between our countries in other areas as well, including the joint development of an educational-methodical complex in Russian as a foreign language with the country specifics of the Republic of Tajikistan for students in grades 1-11 of Tajikistan schools," Glushko stressed.


He drew attention to the relevance of interaction in the line of secondary vocational education, career guidance for students, development of training programs for teachers of technical schools and colleges, including the use of distance technologies.


Glushko noted that in 2022 Moscow will host the XX International Abilympics National Professional Skills Championship for people with disabilities, and invited the team of Tajikistan to participate in the activities of the championship.
