The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, met with the chairman of the Lower House of Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mir Rahman Rahmani, who paid an official visit to Moscow.
During the conversation, according to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed topical issues of Russian-Afghan relations and exchanged views on the current situation and prospects for the development of the situation in Afghanistan, with emphasis on advancing the process of national reconciliation while continuing to combat the terrorist threat and drug traffic.
