Today, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will attend the meeting of the Council of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the OSCE participating states (OSCE Ministerial Council) which will be held in the capital of the country holding the Chairmanship Slovakia - Bratislava.
The theme of the meeting is "For peoples, dialogue and stability". The main topics of discussion will be the settlement of crises in the OSCE area-in Ukraine, Nagorno-Karabakh, Transnistria.
On the sidelines of the OSCE meeting, Lavrov will also hold a number of meetings with the Foreign Ministers of the participating states, the leadership of the organization and other international structures.
The main theme of this year's chairmanship of the OSCE Slovakia, according to RIA Novosti, were declared the preservation of the current cooperation and the efforts in three key areas: preventing and resolving conflicts, and alleviating human suffering, which, in particular, concerns the conflict in Ukraine, ensuring a secure future by methods ranging from combating terrorism and extremism to increasing the role of digitalization in the security sphere, and moving towards multilateralism.
