About six hundred foreign mercenaries have been eliminated in a special military operation in Ukraine over the past two weeks, while more than five hundred have left the country, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
"Over the last two weeks, more than five hundred mercenaries have left the country and about six hundred more have been destroyed," Shoigu said at a conference call on Tuesday.
According to him, "targeted actions to track down and eliminate foreign mercenaries continue."
"As a result of high-precision weapons strikes on mercenary training centers, as well as combat losses, a decrease in their number on the territory of Ukraine is recorded," the defense minister said.
