Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu arrived in Uzbekistan on Tuesday for an official visit, where he will hold talks with the republic’s Defense Minister Bakhodir Kurbanov. The talks will take place in Bukhara.
‘The heads of military departments will discuss issues of international and regional security, topical issues of bilateral military and military-technical cooperation’, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Shoigu arrived in Uzbekistan from Tajikistan, where earlier on Tuesday he had attended a meeting of the CSTO Defense Ministers and held bilateral talks with the republic’s Defense Minister, Sherali Mirzo.
