The Israeli Air Force conducted airstrikes on early morning Syrian army positions near the city of Aleppo, a source in the Arab republic's Defense Ministry told SANA.
"The Israeli aggression resulted in the death and injury of a number of civilians and soldiers, as well as caused material damage to public and private property," the statement reads.
The source said the enemy struck ground targets at 01:45 local time (02:45 Moscow time) from the direction of the town of Atraya, located southeast of Aleppo.
Notably, the text states that simultaneously with the Israeli air attack, drones belonging to terrorist groups shelled peaceful neighborhoods protected by government forces.
