Syrian Foreign Ministry Accuses Israel of Escalating Military Conflict

18 September

The Syrian Foreign Ministry has accused Israel of seeking to expand military conflict in the Middle East, following recent explosions of communication devices in Lebanon. In a statement reported by the state-run SANA news agency, Syria condemned these actions as acts of terrorism targeting Lebanese civilians.

“Syria strongly condemns this act of terrorism and the latest bloody crime committed by Israel against the peaceful citizens of Lebanon. This reflects Israel's desire to escalate the war and continue the bloodshed in the region,” the statement reads.

The ministry also expressed solidarity with the “brotherly people of Lebanon,” affirming Syria's support for Lebanon's right to self-defense.
