The Taliban (banned in the Russian Federation) have no information about the arrival and stay of the Al-Qaeda (banned in the Russian Federation) leader Ayman al-Zawahiri in Afghanistan. Zabihullah Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information in the interim government of Afghanistan formed by the Taliban came to power in the country, wrote on his official Twitter page on Thursday, commenting on the statements spread by the US authorities on Monday about the elimination of al-Zawahiri in an air strike on a house in Kabul, where he was allegedly staying.

"The leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan [IEA, the state name used by the Taliban] has no information about Ayman al-Zawahiri's arrival and stay in Kabul," Mujahid noted. - "The IEA leadership has ordered investigative and intelligence agencies to conduct a comprehensive and serious study of all aspects of what happened."

"There is no threat to any nation from Afghanistan, including America," Mujahid pointed out. - "America has invaded our territory and violated all international principles, so once again we condemn this action. If it happens again, the US will be responsible for the consequences."

The US claimed it eliminated al-Zawahiri with a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) missile strike. Washington said the Taliban leadership was aware of the Al-Qaeda chief's presence in the Afghan capital. The US administration confirmed that it did not give the Taliban prior notice of its intention to eliminate al-Zawahiri."
