The CSTO Foreign Ministers agreed on the formation of a common security space

Today, on the eve of the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Bratislava, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a working meeting with Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states.


According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Ministers discussed the interaction of the CSTO member states at the OSCE platform, compared approaches to the issues of the 26th meeting of the OSCE Foreign Ministers.


The sides noted the importance of joint promotion of the unifying agenda for all OSCE participating states and further intensification of cooperation between the CSTO and the OSCE in areas of mutual interest.


On the Russian initiative, the Statement of the Foreign Ministers of the CSTO member states on the formation of a single and indivisible security space was adopted.
