The President of Lebanon Michel Aoun arrived in Moscow on an official visit.
The main point of the program of the Lebanese leader will be a meeting with the Russian President Vladimir Putin. As noted on the Kremlin’s website, the heads of two states will discuss issues of further development of the Russian-Lebanese cooperation in the trade, economic and humanitarian fields. An exchange of views on topical international and regional issues is also planned.
Earlier, Aoun in an interview with journalists, also expressed his intention to discuss with Putin questions related to the consequences of wars in the Middle East. In particular, the issue of Jerusalem and Israel, the fate of the Middle Eastern Christians, as well as the development of relations with Russia in the field of culture and economy will be touched upon.
We recall that this year Russia and Lebanon celebrate 75 years since the beginning of diplomatic relations.
