Tokayev awarded Aliyev with an order for his contribution to the development of relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree awarding Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev with the Altyn Kyran ("Golden Eagle") Order for his contribution to strengthening and developing relations between the two countries. This was reported on Wednesday by the press service of the head of the Kazakh state.


"For a special contribution to the strengthening and development of bilateral political, economic and cultural relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Azerbaijan to award the Altyn Kyran order to Aliyev Ilham Heydar oglu - President of the Republic of Azerbaijan," the document which came into force on August 23.


Tokayev arrived in Baku on Wednesday with an official visit. The heads of state have already held a bilateral meeting. "Undoubtedly, today's visit has special significance for me. Very important issues will be discussed today. A number of documents will be signed following the talks. I am confident that they will bring bilateral cooperation, Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan relations to a new level," the head of Kazakhstan said.


In turn, the president of Azerbaijan expressed confidence that the visit of the Kazakh leader to Baku will make a significant contribution to strengthening cooperation between the two states. "At the end of the meeting there was a ceremony of awarding the President of Azerbaijan with the highest state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Order of Altyn Kyran. Ilham Aliyev was awarded this award for his great contribution to the strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the two countries," the press service added.
