Turkish construction companies have implemented $95.6 billion worth of projects in Russia over 50 years, accounting for 20.6% of all construction projects implemented by Turkey abroad, Anadolu Agency reported Friday citing the country's Ministry of trade.
Turkmenistan comes second with 10.8% share, where the value of construction projects exceeds $50 billion, followed by Iraq with 6.9% share, the amount of projects implemented in this country amounted to $32.1 billion.
According to Turkish Ministry of trade, from 1972 to the end of November 2022, Turkish construction companies implemented 11,405 projects worth $463.3 billion in 132 countries.
In the first 11 months of this year, the amount of projects implemented by Turkish construction companies abroad was about $10 billion. Last year, projects worth $30.5 billion were carried out outside of Turkey, the ministry's data show.
