Turkey has signed a contract to supply the Sputnik V vaccine, the country's Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced on Wednesday.
"Turkey has signed an agreement to supply <...> the Sputnik V vaccine for six months. The first shipment will be in May. The authorization process for the emergency use of this vaccine is in its final stage," Anadolu Agency quoted the Minister as saying.
In addition, Koca noted that "the technology for the production of the satellite in Turkey was transferred".
Earlier, the Russian Direct Investment Fund and Turkish pharmaceutical company Viсsonaran Ilac agreed to produce the Sputnik V vaccine in Turkey.
