Twitter has blocked the account of the Iranian embassies in Russia and several other countries. Attempts are currently being made to restore the page, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the press service of the Iranian diplomatic mission.
"Unfortunately, Twitter closed the account of this Embassy during the celebration of al-Quds Day. To date, we have sent a request 4 times via the specified Twitter scheme to find out the reason for the block, but so far we have not received any specific response," the Embassy said, in particular.
"The blocking of Iranian social networks did not affect only our diplomatic mission, and according to the information we have, the accounts of several Iranian embassies in other countries were also blocked without any explanation," the Agency's interlocutors added.
