The formation of a network of Ukrainian agents to carry out acts of sabotage against Russia, which was reported by the American TV channel CNN, is not different from the terrorist activities of the banned in Russia Islamic State (IS) organization. Director of the second department of the CIS countries at the Russian MFA Aleksey Polishchuk told TASS in an interview.
Earlier, CNN cited information according to which Kiev has created a network of agents inside Russia to carry out acts of sabotage, including the use of drones. "If the network that CNN is talking about really exists, it is a terrorist network. The same as the groups of ISIS (former name of IS - TASS) and other similar organizations, against which the international community is actively fighting," the diplomat said. - "Either the US has forgotten about its own experience with the tragedy of September 11, 2001, or we are witnessing another manifestation of the short-sighted double standard."
Polishchuk stressed that the question about the reliability of these data should be addressed to representatives of the agencies "that are engaged in repulsion, prevention and investigation of such attacks."
Ukrainian drones attacked Moscow and the Moscow region in the morning of May 30. According to the Russian defense ministry, eight drones were used in the attack, five of which were shot down and the other three were suppressed by electronic warfare means. Two people in Moscow sought medical help; they did not need hospitalization. A number of buildings sustained minor damage.
