The traditional flower-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame was held in the capital of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. This was reported on Thursday by the press service of the Russian embassy in Uzbekistan.
"On the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the traditional flower-laying ceremony was held at the Eternal Flame at the Volgograd Memorial Cemetery in Tashkent.
The event was attended by ambassadors of Russia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as diplomats from the embassies of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Iran and India, representatives of youth and veteran organizations of Uzbekistan, the public and the media," the statement said.
