A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Parliament Nuriddin Ismoilov, is set to pay an official visit to Russia on February 19-20. The visit will include discussions with the speaker of the State Duma and the chairman of the Federation Council, as announced by the chamber's press service.
"The parliamentary delegation from Uzbekistan, headed by Speaker Nuriddin Ismoilov, will visit the Russian Federation on February 19-20 of this year. As part of the itinerary, the Uzbek delegation is scheduled to meet with Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma, and Valentina Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation," the statement outlined.
The press service highlighted that the planned meetings will prioritize the expansion and strengthening of inter-parliamentary ties, aiming to bolster cooperation in this regard.
"In addition, the agenda includes the inaugural meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the Legislative Chamber of the Parliament of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Duma," the press service added.
