Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin is taking part in the meeting of the Board of the Russian Defense Ministry. Speaking at the event, the head of state stressed that it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive analysis of threats to the country.
According to the head of state, the preparation of the Russian defense plan for 2021-2025 will be completed in 2020.
"In the course of this work, it is necessary to fully take into account and assess the changes in the military-political situation in the world and the prospects for its development, to conduct a comprehensive analysis of potential military threats and to determine measures for the use and further improvement of the armed forces," said, in particular, Vladimir Putin.
Speaking about the quality of Russian weapons, the President said that Russia should be the best.
"It should be, how many times I have said, to representatives of the industry, too, it should always be better. If we want to win, the technique must be better than world standards. This is not playing chess where we can be satisfied with a draw sometimes. It is a military organization of the state, " he said.
