Zamir Kabulov, Russian President's Special Representative for Afghanistan and Director of the Second Asia Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, is in Afghanistan, where he is holding talks on bilateral issues, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told TASS on Thursday.
"Zamir Kabulov, indeed, is now in Afghanistan, where he is holding talks on a whole range of issues of bilateral relations," the diplomat said.
Earlier it became known that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is visiting Afghanistan. The Chinese minister held a meeting with Amir Khan Mottaki, who was appointed by the radical Taliban (banned in Russia) to head the foreign ministry of Afghanistan.
