President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, during which the two leaders noted their readiness to take the relations between the two countries to a new level in the spirit of eternal alliance, the press service of the Kyrgyzstan leader reports.
"Today, October 7, President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin," the statement reads. "During the conversation, the parties noted their readiness to bring bilateral relations in the spirit of eternal alliance and strategic partnership to a qualitatively new level," the press service noted. "Sadyr Zhaparov warmly congratulated Vladimir Putin on his 70th birthday and wished him good health, prosperity and further successes in his responsible state activity," the press service of the president of Kyrgyzstan noted.
The informal summit of the CIS countries will be held on Friday in the Konstantinovsky Palace near St. Petersburg on the day of the 70th anniversary of the Russian head of state. A spokesman for the president of Kyrgyzstan said that Zhaparov would not be able to attend the summit.
