Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov expressed gratitude to Russian leader Vladimir Putin for his attention to the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.
"Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, I would like to express my personal gratitude for your attention, empathy regarding the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border," he said Monday during talks with the Russian president.
"Russia is our main ally and trade and economic partner, so I hope for fruitful negotiations on all issues," the Kyrgyz head of state continued.
Zhaparov noted that Russia and Kyrgyzstan now have a good opportunity to "review the results of bilateral cooperation" after his visit to Moscow in February 2021.
The Kyrgyz president also expressed gratitude to Putin for "the support being given to Kyrgyzstan".
Zhaparov arrived in Russia on a two-day working visit on May 24. The Kyrgyz delegation also includes Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbayev, the head of the foreign policy department of the presidential administration, Dastan Dyushekeyev, and the Kyrgyz ambassador to Russia, Gulnara-Clara Samat.
