The FSB detained a soldier of the strategic Missile forces in Barnaul for treason.
As reported in the Center for public relations (CPR) of the FSB, he passed intelligence of Ukraine information containing state secrets.
"The FSB of the Russian Federation in Barnaul detained a soldier of the strategic missile forces, who collected and transmitted to the Main intelligence department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine information that is a state secret," the CPR reported.
A criminal case was opened under article 275 of the criminal code of Russia ("High treason"), and the soldier was arrested. This article provides for a penalty of 12 to 20 years' imprisonment.
