The Coordination Center of Muslims in the North Caucasus has issued an appeal to the United Nations, urging an end to the genocide of the Palestinian population and the establishment of a fully recognized Palestinian state, as stated in the published appeal.
"In recent days, the world has witnessed unprecedented Israeli attacks on Palestinian civilians, with attempts to annihilate the residents of the Gaza Strip, including the bombing of hospitals and schools, the disruption of electricity and drinking water supplies. We, the Muftis of the North Caucasus, urgently call upon the United Nations to intervene and halt the genocide against the people of Palestine. We urge the UN to take all necessary actions to fulfill the relevant UN resolution for the 'Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine' and expedite the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state," states the document.
The muftis emphasize that in Palestine, over 3,000 people have been killed and more than 12,000 have been wounded. They express deep concern that "children, women, and the elderly continue to be killed every minute."
"We firmly believe that the prolonged stagnation in the Middle East peace process and the detrimental actions of the United States and certain Western nations, who consistently and unjustly obstruct this process, are the primary causes of this conflict. In today's world, it is unacceptable to allow the unchecked killing of civilians to serve the narrow interests of some Western leaders. We fully support the stance of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who advocates for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state living in peace and security alongside Israel," the muftis stated in their appeal.
