Dmitry Makhonin, governor of Perm Krai, suggested that the site of the "Muslim World" forum, which is being held in Perm Krai, be considered for events under the auspices of the International Association of Islamic Business (IAIB).
"We are ready to expand the forum and focus on the economy. Companies and enterprises in Perm Krai have already had a great experience working with countries where Islamic religion is represented, including in the oil and gas sector, industry, mechanical engineering and the IT-sphere. We can show what we have already achieved and discuss what we can do together", Makhonin said at the working meeting with IAIB President Marat Kabaev at the economic summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit 2021".
In his turn, the IAIB President supported the proposal of the head of the region and noted that with the help of the Association it would be possible to build more productive partnerships in different business areas: in manufacturing, construction, agriculture, trade and others.
"We are ready to help the region to strengthen cooperation with investors, including foreign ones, we unite entrepreneurs from more than 30 states: Turkey, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and others. The association is open for cooperation," Kabaev said.
The Muslim World Forum is an annual event aimed at harmonizing inter-ethnic and inter-ethnic relations and developing the culture of peoples who traditionally practice Islam. In 2021 the forum was held in Perm Krai for the tenth time on the site of the "Perm Fair" exhibition center.
The 12th International Economic Summit "Russia and the Islamic World: KazanSummit 2021" will continue until July 30th. Participants include representatives from 61 countries and 38 regions of Russia. The summit is aimed at developing cooperation and maintaining a dialogue between Russia and the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the economic, political and cultural spheres.
